HAPPY BIRTHDAY VITTORIA!!!!!

 One week later, here we are again. This time to celebrate what It would’ve been our little girl’s 19th birthday. I just can’t believe it. it seriously feels like not long ago that I held this little baby in my arms who had this “angry” look on her face...she already knew she needed to fight in her short life and oh boy did she fight!! She is our example of Faith, endurance, love, courage and strength.

She wanted to be either a back doctor (like Dr. Smith) or a heart one so she could help kids with health issues like hers. She was very young, but so very wise beyond her years. I wonder where she would be now if she had received a new heart…Attending medical school? Or would she have chosen differently? What would she look like? Tall and skinny with long brown hair? Maybe.

I just know that we love her fiercely and that we miss her tremendously, every day we talk about her and remember all the precious time we had together. I found this song a few days ago and its lyrics are our unspoken words and knowing her, she never stopped dancing.

Una settimana dopo, eccoci di nuovo qui. Questa volta per festeggiare quello che sarebbe stato il 19° compleanno di Vittoria.Non riesco a crederci. Mi sento davvero come se non molto tempo fa avessi tenuto in braccio questa bambina che aveva questo sguardo "arrabbiato" sul suo viso... sapeva già di dover lottare nella sua breve vita e oh cavolo se ha lottato! Lei è il nostro esempio di Fede, resistenza, amore, coraggio e forza.

Avrebbe voluto diventare un chirurgo ortopedico(come Dott. Smith) o un cardiologo, per aiutare i bambini con problemi di salute come lei. Era molto giovane, ma molto saggia oltre i suoi anni.Mi chiedo dove sarebbe ora se avesse ricevuto un cuore nuovo... A frequentare la scuola di medicina? Mi chiedo dove sarebbe ora se avesse ricevuto un cuore nuovo... Frequentare la scuola di medicina? O avrebbe scelto diversamente? Che aspetto avrebbe? Alta e magra con lunghi capelli castani? Forse.

So solo che la amiamo ferocemente e che ci manca moltissimo, ogni giorno parliamo di lei e ricordiamo tutto il tempo prezioso che abbiamo passato insieme. Ho trovato questa canzone qualche giorno fa e conoscendola, non ha mai smesso di ballare.
