Before I start this post, a couple of quick remarks:

-the playlist that usually plays all of Vittoria's songs when you enter this blog ( just for U.S.A. visitors) is not working anymore.

(Mom's turn)

On the 16th, my mom, Jacomo and I took a trip down to Price and had a nice visit with James' parents. After lunch, James' mom, my cute little niece Jocelyn and us took some flowers to Vittoria's grave. We miss our little girl and as the 3 year anniversary draw closer I fight to keep all these emotions in check.. I sometimes feel like a volcano about to erupt..and it ain't gonna be pretty!!

Sabato 16 con mamma e Jacomo siamo andati a Price a trovare la famiglia di James e anche a fare una visita al cimitero. Dopo pranzo, con mia suocera e la mia nipotina Jocelyn abbiamo portato dei fiori freschi alla tomba di Vittoria. Vittoria ci manca da morire e con l'avvicinarsi del terzo anniversario dalla sua scomparsa ho difficolta` a tenere tutte questi sentimenti sotto controllo, a volte mi sento come fossi un vulcano pronta ad esplodere...

Jacomo spent the next couple of days playing in the yard with water toys and his little pool... the temperature reached 100 F and it seemed there was no relief anywhere...well, maybe just in the house with the A/C on!!
Jacomo ha trascorso diversi giorni a giocare in giardino con l'acqua e nella sua piscinetta.. con le temperature che spesso raggiungevano quasi i 38 gradi non si trovava sollievo da alcuna parte..eccetto dentro casa con l'aria condizionata alla grande!

..and the Potter Family Reunion..

On the 23rd, we went to the Potter Family Reunion (James's mom's side of the family) in Highland and it was so much fun. Granted it was so hot, even the grass was sweating, but food was awesome, the company was great and the kids had a ball. Jacomo had a blast and he never stopped playing until we left at 10 PM! The biggest hits were the bounce house and the trampoline for sure, and got to a point we had to drag him away and take him home. Needless to say, the following day, he was exhausted and VERY cranky, but at least he had fun!

Il 23 di giugno siamo andati alla riunione di Famiglia dei Potter ( la famiglia di mia suocera) e siamo stati benissimo. Certo faceva caldissimo, persino l'erba sudava, ma il cibo era ottimo, la compagnia divertente e i bambini si sono divertiti un mondo. Jacomo non hai mai smesso di giocare fino alle dieci di sera quando abbiamo praticamente dovuto trascinarlo via e portarlo a casa. La casa gonfiabile e il trampolino ( o come dice lui il "jumpolino") hanno avuto un enorme successo. Neanche a dirlo, il giorno dopo Jacomo era cotto, esausto e piuttosto irritabile, ma almeno di e` divertito!!

I  wish I had my camera ready to go in two very sweet and touching instances: Jacomo and his cousin Pyper walking hand in hand and his other cousin Adelia taking Jacomo's shoes and socks off so he could go play in the bounce house, and Jacomo was just sitting back and relaxing watching his little cousin doing all the hard work!! Typical! :)

Peccato che non avevo la macchinetta pronta in due tenerissime occasioni: Jacomo e la sua cuginetta Pyper che camminavano mano nella mano per tutto il giardino e quando la sua cuginetta Adelia gli toglieva scarpe e calzini per farlo entrare nella casa gonfiabile, mentre Jacomo se ne stava seduto, tutto tranquillo mentre la cugina faticava ad aiutarlo! Tipico!! :)
