After Easter, we were able to meet up with some old friends that we haven't seen since 2006. Last time it was winter and they came to Utah to visit. Back then, they just had the two oldest girls, Giuliana and Gina, and Vittoria and Giuliana were both 5 years old. I remember it was so cold, but we took a nice long walk around Temple Square, with kids playing in the snow and us parents looking desperately for a warm place to get hot chocolate.

Subito dopo Pasqua, ci siamo ritrovati con dei vecchi amici che non vedevamo dal 2006. L'ultima volta era inverno ed erano nello Utah per una visita. A quei tempi avevano solo le due figlie piu` grandi e Vittoria e Giuliana avevano tutte e due 5 anni. Ricordo un freddo incredibile, ma nonostante tutto abbiamo fatto una bella camminata dentro Temple Square, con le bimbe che giocavano nella neve e noi genitori che cercavamo un posto caldo dove prendere la cioccolata calda.

So, it has been since 6 years since last time we saw each other, even though we have been keeping in touch pretty regularly, especially since Vittoria's passing.
 It was shocking to see how fast the kids have grown and awesome to meet the new additions to the family. This time, it was a very nice but windy day, we walked around the Gateway and the kids played and enjoyed themselves. I know Jacomo had a great time running around and climbing everywhere. I had a really good visit and hopefully we don't have to wait another 6 years to see each other again! ;)
Sono passati 6 anni dall'ultima volta che ci siamo visti, nonostante ci siamo tenuti in contatto abbastanza regolarmente, soprattutto dopo la scomparsa di Vittoria,
E` incredibile quanto sono cresciute le piu` grandi ed incontrare i 2 piu` piccoli. Questa volta ci siamo ritrovati in una bella giornata di sole, con un vento spaventoso; abbiamo camminato per il centro commerciale all'aperto e i bimbi si sono divertiti a giocare. Jacomo di sicuro si e` divertito un mondo a correre e a scalare le varie rocce. Sono stata veramente contenta di averli rivisti e speriamo di non dover aspettare altri 6 anni per rivedersi.

This year, we went once again out in the desert to spend Easter with James' family. A couple of days before our trip, Jacomo got to decorate the eggs that would be part of the Easter Egg Hunt.

Quest'anno siamo di nuovo andati nel deserto a trascorrere la Pasqua con la famiglia di James. Un paio di giorni prima della partenza, Jacomo ha decorato le uova sode che faranno parte poi della caccia alle uova pasquali.

I daresay March was even busier than February, and we were glad to be finally home. On the 16th, Jacomo and I basically spent the day just playing, no house chores were done, we stayed in our pajamas and we totally enjoyed it. We spent good part of the day playing with some of Vittoria's games and reading many of her books, and then we put some music on and Jacomo started dancing on the purple cube!! Just hilarious!!
Posso dire con certezza che marzo e` stato ancora piu` impegnato di febbraio, ma finalmente siamo tornati a casa nostra e adesso ci rimaniamo. Jacomo ed io abbiamo trascorso il tutto il giorno del 16 a giocare, in pigiama, senza fare niente per casa e ce lo siamo proprio goduto questo giorno di ozio completo. Abbiamo trascorso buona parte della giornata a giocare con alcuni giochi di Vittoria e a leggere i tanti libri che ha, poi ho acceso la radio e Jacomo di e` messo a ballare come uno scatenato! Un vero ragazzo sul cubo!! Troppo divertente!

February has been quite busy for our little family, we took a few trips to visit the in-laws in Price and Jacomo got a chance to play and visit with some of his cousins. The days we stayed home, Brittney (Vittoria's best friend) came over to play with Jacomo and hang out. It's so nice to have her with us, I kinda feel like Jacomo is learning from her like he would have learned from his big sister and it's so touching and awesome to see them together.
Febbraio e` stato piuttosto impegnato per la nostra famiglia, abbiamo fatto un po` di viaggi per andare a trovare la famiglia di James a Price e Jacomo ha avuto occasione piu` di una volta di giocare con alcune delle sue cugine. I giorni che siamo rimasti a casa, Brittney, la migliore amica di Vittoria,e` venuta a stare con noi, per giocare con Jacomo. E` bello averla qui con noi, penso che Jacomo stia imparando molto da lei, come avrebbe imparata da Vittoria, ed e' straordinario e molto commovente vederli insieme.

It has been so cold and windy at the cemetery that I decided to take all the flowers out and leave these two velvety flowers with the wire stem so nothing could bend them and spread them across the lawn.
Il mese di febbraio e` stato cosi` freddo e con talmente tanto vento che ho deciso di togliere tutti gli altri fiori e lasciare questi due fatti di velluto con il gambo in ferro cosicche` neanche un maestrale puo` portarli via.

One morning we visited my sister-in-law Joy and my little niece Joelle, while her big sister Jocelyn was at school. Jacomo had a great time playing with her and loved the fact that she followed him around, it was way cute.
Una mattina, siamo andati a trovare mia cognata Joy con la figlia piu` piccola Joelle, mentre quella grande, Jocelyn, era a scuola. Jacomo si e` divertito tantissimo e il fatto che lei lo seguisse dappertutto gli piaceva da morire.



Also, I have been trying to teach Jacomo how to make homemade pasta, well, at least I have been trying to get him to help him, but the only thing that he loved to do was spreading tons of flour on the board and put his hands in it. I tried...
Ho cercato di insegnare a Jacomo come fare la pasta fatta in casa, o almeno ho cercato di convincerlo ad aiutarmi, ma senza successo, l'unica cosa che lo interessa veramente e` spargere chili e chili di farina sulla tavola e farci le impronte con le mani. Ci ho provato...

It took us a while to recover from our trip to Italy, but we survived the jet lag, some colds and several viruses so that we could make it to Vittoria's best friend's birthday that fell on the 16th. Our little family spent the whole day together, just hanging out, watching movies, eating, catching up on some sleep and in the evening we went to Brittney's birthday party. She is 11 years old, and give her another year and she'll be taller than me, which it's not hard to do, considering that our little boy is just 3 1/2 and already reaches my waist.

Ci sono voluti un po` di giorni per recuperare l'orario dal nostro viaggio in Italia, tra fuso orario, raffreddori e piccole influenze, siamo riusciti a rimetterci in sesto in tempo per andare al compleanno della migliore amica di Vittoria, che cade proprio il 16 di gennaio. Abbiamo trascorso la giornata soltanto noi tre insieme, abbiamo visto dei film, riposato, giocato e la sera siamo andati alla festa di Brittney che compie 11 anni e tempo un altro anno e mi sorpassa pure in altezza, il che non e` poi cosi` difficile, se consideriamo che il nostro bimbo ha 3 anni e mezzo e gia` arriva alla mia vita.

We had a nice time and I'm positive that Vittoria is happy we spent this anniversary with her best friend and her family. These 2 have been best friends since we moved to Salt Lake City in 2003 and Brittney has been so good and protective of Vittoria.
Siamo stati bene e sono certa che Vittoria e` felice che abbiamo trascorso questo anniversario con la sua migliore amica e la sua famiglia. Queste 2 sono diventate amiche per la pelle quasi subito dopo esserci trasferiti a Salt Lake City nel 2003 e Brittney e` sempre stata cosi1 buona e protettiva di Vittoria.

I know I write this all the time, but we miss her so very much that it hurts and we love her so deeply. Our Faith and our Families and Friends are the only things that keep us going, and every day I'm thankful the Lord gave us the Perfect Daughter to love and learn from and a Awesome Son who literally saved us, and that our Family will be TOGETHER FOREVER!!!!!
Lo so che lo scrivo sempre, ma Vittoria ci manca da morire e le vogliamo un mondo di bene, e l'unica cosa che ci manda avanti e` la Fede e l'amore e supporto delle nostre Famiglie e Amici. Ringrazio il Signore ogni giorno per averci dato la Figlia Perfetta da amare e un Figio Straordinario che ci ha letteralmente salvato eche la nostra Famiglia sara` Insieme per Sempre!!
