Surgery Report

Again we are left hanging on to hope while fearing the end. The surgeon basically came and told us that surgically we are at the end of the road. Nothing more can be done. We will have to wait and see if she will stop bleeding on her own. The new tubes are heparinized so they won't have to give her heparin doses (blood thinner). We are praying that she will stop bleeding and rally. That is the only path we have now. She needs to stop bleeding, regain strength, improve her lungs and kidneys and then be ready for transplant. If the bleeding does not stop, nothing more can be done.

Our hearts ache but we are strangely at peace. I guess we wait and see which direction it goes. We wait and pray and pray and pray.... that is the only thing we can control at this point. Please join us and continue to pray for our little princess.

  1. Just wanted to let you know that complete strangers in Cache Valley are praying like crazy for you. We figure that the more prayers sent up to heaven, the better.

  5. James & Val,
Your feelings, words and thoughts are to amazing to me. Your Princess will ba able to read these things and see how much she is loved and how much faith her parents have. What an example to each of us! You are both so strong and special, I pray that you can have peace and comfort at this hard time. My family, all of them, are watching your blog. It really is inspiring. We love you.

  7. Dearest Frandsen family,
We continue to follow your blog and can scarcely imagine what it must be like to continue along this roller coaster ride! That kind of constant stress on the body can't be good...we are so humbled by your example.
I have not been as spiritual as I should be in recent months, but this I know: Our Heavenly Father is aware of your circumstances and hears your pleas. He is beside you when your heart aches. I have felt his spirit when I've been with you all, and especially when you've allowed us the opportunity to see Vittoria. I cannot fully understand why the Lord continues to allow her to travel down such a shaky path...surely one who commands heaven and earth could so easily heal one special little spirit! But the Lord has his reasons, whether or not any of us understand them...
Please know that we continue to pray for you daily. We love your family and ask only that Vittoria be healed. We wish we could take away the frustrations and anguish you must feel at times. Hang in there! See you soon.
